Capstone Project - VEX Modeling in Inventor

As the 4th Lesson in this Capstone Project, students will create a Clawbot Virtual model in Autodesk Inventor. This is an advanced project that will require teamwork, multiple class sessions and the ability to create a product that shows the students' knowledge, skills and creativity.

Introduction

As the Capstone Project, students will create a VEX Robotics Clawbot Virtual model in Autodesk Inventor. This is an advanced project that will require teamwork, multiple class sessions  and the willingness to create a product that shows the students' knowledge, skills and creativity.

Students will download work files from the Autodesk Academy, work with a partner (or team) to create a VEX Clawbot. 

At the conclusion, student groups will upload their creations to the Autodesk Gallery. 

Alternative Assessment is the attached Rubric for Inventor Parts.

Teacher Note: In advance of this activity, please work with your school IT department to install the program on the student computers. This should have been completed for previous lesson. Please confirm the website links are active on your network.

Teacher note: Prior to the project, review the lesson information and plan the lesson times that will benefit your students. Some students will complete the project quicker than others. Perhaps offering lunchtime or after school time will assist students to complete the project.
