Eating Disorders and the Female Athlete Triad



In this lesson students will learn about the two main eating disorders. The instructor will lead the students through a discussion that includes the top 8 contributing factors, red flag behaviors, physical consequences, and treatment. The lesson will also discuss the female athlete triad (eating disorder, amenorrhea, and osteoporosis) and how it detrimentally affects the body of a female athlete.
