This lesson is used to teach students the basic parts of beef, sheep,dairy and swine animals. It should be taught after they learn the basic terminology of all the animals. The included Power Point presentation goes through each animal and its parts. Students are to use the attached blank diagrams to copy down the parts throughout the presentation. Teachers are encouraged to discuss parts that are similar on all animals such as the hock, back, loin, etc. as well as parts unique to each animal.
