Introduction

This lesson should be used after students have been taught the genetic principles of phenotype and genotype. The lesson introduces the aspects of utilizing phenotype in the real world by giving the determinants of evaluation for livestock animals. Students will be able to use the criteria of evaluation in picking animals who exemplify the best traits.
