How To Secure A Domain Name For Your Web Site

Introduction

The students will need a domain name, like www.whatever.com, for their web site. The students will learn how to find a unique name for their domain and the importance of making a simple domain name for the intended audience, depending on the type of business. The students will learn how to use "whois" sites like www.networksolutions.com/whois and others to find out what unique site names are available. The students will learn how to purchase a unique domain name. If the desired domain name is already taken by another organization, the students will learn how to purchase or otherwise procure the site name from the current owner.
