This lesson is an examination of the social and emotional development of infants. Utilizing Chapter 9 of the text, Children: the Early Years by Celia Decker, this lesson explores how infants vary in temperaments, express emotions, interact with others, and form attachments. Social and emotional milestones for the first year are recorded and caregivers' responses and interventions to support healthy development are explored.
