Introduction to Copyright Laws and Graphics

Introduction

Copyright and images on the web will be discussed. Copyright terms will be defined and used correctly. Students will have a thorough understanding of the difference between fair use and copyright infringement. The instructor will also introduce file formats and have students locate, select, save, and annotate a collection of images. Students will distinguish the three main file types GIF, JPEG, and PNG that are used to publish on the web. Further students will copyand save images from the Internet, using appropriate citations for copyright laws.
