Le Carb Fromage DuJour - Preventing and Managing Diabetes

A teen student's simple start to preventing and managing diabetes.

This is lesson 3 of 4 with regard to teen diabetes comprehension.  Students will get to role play with the teacher and other students.  Students, immediately after the bell, will be introduced to a "poor" choice of a meal by the teacher.  3 students chosen at random will portray the restaurant employees.

The hook activity is followed by direct instruction with students using their own PowerPoint Outline (scaffolding).  The end of the lesson assessment will be a game of "Diabetes Jeopardy" where students get to use the PowerPoint outline to play the game!
