Lesson #2 Boat Construction - Hull Design and Engineering Principles

by

Introduction

Students will have a blast designing a hull out of styrofoam blocks. The students will race the boats against each team to see who can design the best hydrodynamic hull. Students should keep journals of the design and the results to compare with other teams.

This is step two in the boat design and Engineering principles.

Each Team should research, study and design what they "think"will be the fastest and longest moving boat in the water.
