Lesson 4: Design Analysis Report

Introduction

  • Teacher will explain that the town administrator wants a written analysis report explaining if Design A and Design B meets ADA or otherwise
  • Students will write an analysis report addressed to the town administrators containing their findings
  • Teacher will facilitate an academic conversation activity before students write
    • Students will first prepare for the academic discussion by completing an Academic conversation Planning Form
    • Once completed, students will sit into different groups from their own and conduct an academic conversation
    • Students will write down writing ideas from their academic discussions
    • students will write (individually) an analysis report
    • Students will peer critique each members report
      • highlight misspellings
      • underline grammatical errors
