Lesson 4: Draw Circles From Given Points, Create Tangencies For Lines And Arcs, Draw An Ellipse

by

Introduction

In this lesson, students will learn how to create lines, circles and arcs using various methods including the following: a circle through 3 given points, a circle tangent to a given line, a line tangent to a given circle, and an arc tangent to given lines or arcs. Finally the students will learn how to create an ellipse of a given major and minor axis using the "pin and string" method.
