Lesson 4: Prototyping of the Puzzle

In this final lesson, students will learn the process of outputting their CAD 3D models of their puzzle pieces to a 3D printer for prototyping. The basic concepts of industrial prototyping will be explored. The different types of prototyping machines will be introduced, and the students (if the equipment is available) will prototype their puzzles. Links are provided to 3D printing services if a 3D printer is not available on site. The prototype can also be fabricated out of the wood unit blocks used in the first lesson "Concepualization of the puzzle.
