Planning The Floral Art Intepretation

Lesson 2 of 4: This lesson is intended for students to take what they have learned about Art Interpretation and mix it with their knowledge of Floral Design to plan and sketch a floral arrangement that interprets a famous work of art. Using their prior knowledge of pricing arrangements, students will also be responsible for calculating the costs of creating their arrangement.

Introduction

In the previous lesson, students were introduced to the concept of Art in Bloom and what it means to interpret art through Floral Design.

This lesson requires students to choose a piece of artwork that they want to interpret in their arrangement. Once they have chosen that art, they are asked to become floral designers and design their own arrangement that interprets the lines, shapes, colors, textures, and overall ideas of their piece of artwork. Aside from designing their arrangement, they are also asked to determine the costs involved in creating that arrangement.
