Produce and Host a Podcast (CTE)

by

Using a themed script (such as the one that has been collaboratively written in the ELA portion of this project), produce and publish a high-quality podcast for your high school.

Introduction

In this lesson, you can follow any script (such as The War of the Worlds, included), but it is written to be part of the integrated project in which a "Serial"-style podcast script is the culminating assignment. The student-produced podcast can then be posted on YouTube and shared on a school website.

Students need headphone/microphone equipment and a sound editing program such as Audacity. This lesson is the final lesson in a sequence of CTE Lessons:

If you have a class that already knows basic sound editing, this can be a standalone lesson in which you produce the famous radio broadcast, "War of the Worlds".
