Robot EV3: Build It!

In this lesson, students will be guided through the process of building a robot so that they can build their own. Lesson 1 of 4.

This is the first of four lessons in an EV3 project where students will design, build and create a program for a Lego EV3 robot that can sense its environment and act by making a sound at the completion of the project. In this first lesson the teacher will guide students through the process of building a robot and by doing so will begin the development of the student skill set to design a robot of their own.


As a teacher, I highly suggest that you take pictures and or video clips of your students throughout all of the lessons. It can serve as an awesome demonstration/model for the final project to share with your students toward the end of lesson 4 (Robot EV3: Operate It!).
