Students will learn how to create programs for a Lego EV3 robot in order for their robot to perform a task. Lesson 2 of 4.
This is lesson two of four lessons (Robot EV3: Build It!, Program It!, Sense It! Operate It!) which students will design, build and create a program for an Lego EV3 robot that can sense its environment and act by making a sound when it is finished.
In this lesson, students will learn how to create programs by dragging Programming Blocks from the Programming Palettes at the bottom of their computer screen onto the Programming Canvas. Students may work individually or in pairs to break down the problem and build towards a solution to complete their program. For this lesson, students may use a robot design with a driving base OR students may use a previous robot (Refer to lesson "Robot EV3: Build It!")
As a Teacher, I highly suggest that you take pictures and or video clips of your students throughout all of the lessons. It can serve as an awesome demonstration/model for the final project to share with your students toward the end of lesson 4 (Robot EV3: Operate It!).
