Serious About Literature and Metaphor

by

Introduction

Students use pieces of classic and contemporary literature to develop basic skills in studio video production shoots (including the use of a standard green screen in different settings) and video editing. Students get practical experience with using chroma-key by super-imposing symbolic interpretations of their chosen piece of literature. Students also are faced with the problem of symbolic and metaphorical visual representation and are required to develop abilities in presenting compelling visual images that interpret and communicate the subject matter of the video.
