The 10-Step Engineering Design Solution Process

Introduction

Students will learn the ten steps of the engineering design process. Through video clips, quick-writes and think-pair-share activities, the students will become engaged with the concept and value of engineering design. They will be presented the actual steps of the design process through the window pane strategy and will also be shown an example of the process in motion. They will interact further with the steps and each other through an envelope sort activity. Teacher will assess understanding through observation during these activities and students will demonstrate mastery through a final quiz.
