The Results Are In! Using Data to Create a Better Website

This lesson is part of a much bigger, semester-long CTE project. The completed project involves the design and development of a website and it’s content by groups established at the beginning of the semester. This lesson focuses on the analysis of an interactive activity that the students previously created (Lesson 3) for their website.

Students will work individually to analyze the data and in their project groups to discuss the results and execute updates to the interactive activity for their group website project.

Introduction

RECAP: In Lesson 1, students worked in their class project groups to plan and present an interactive activity idea to the class. In Lesson 2, students learned how to gather and organize content for their group class project. In Lesson 3 students created an interactive activity.

Lesson 4: Students will analyze the results of their interactive activity. They will study the data independently to make conclusions and work together with their group to make recommendations to improve the activity.

This lesson is part of an integrated project called "Creating Engaging Content."

Materials needed per student:

  • access to gmail (google docs)
  • access to internet (lesson reference URLS, wikipedia, playbuzz.com)
  • access to google classroom, google drive
