Treatment and Control of the Ebola Virus Disease (CTE)


This lesson will discuss the current and possible future treatment options for the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD). It will also use the epidemiologic triangle to analyze the Ebola outbreak and find ways of breaking it.


Since the start of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak in West Africa, scientists and doctors are trying to find treatment options for this disease. There is currently no FDA-approved vaccine and medicine for it but there are on-going efforts to find possible treatments for it. In this lesson, current and future treatment options and effective ways of controlling EVD will be discussed.
