Understanding Copyright and Fair Use Laws (CTE)

Students will learn about the importance and reasoning behind copyright and fair use laws as they apply to Video Production.

Introduction

Copyright and fair use laws are there for a reason. People debate whether or not they are too strict, too lenient, or should be in existence at all. In this lesson, students will learn what it feels like to be a victim of copyright/fair use infringement, what laws are in place to protect intellectual property, and how it all applies to video production.
