Which Energy Sources Will Power Our Future Cities? (CTE)


Students will explore the future of sustainable city design, while working in teams to propose an energy portfolio for their city.


To meet future energy needs and improve quality of life, engineers need to understand the impact of emerging technology on urban planning and design. In this lesson, students will work in teams to design an energy portfolio for the future of their city. Students will research and analyze different energy sources with regards to the harnessing, transporting, and storing energy.
