Culminating project / final assessment:
The AVID students will write a career research paper and complete a Personal Technology Needs survey. They will discover the importance of technology for blended learning in college and in their future careers. Finally, they will learn from the A+/Cisco academy students how to be safe using cloud computing and possibly their new computer.
The A+/Cisco students will learn to build the computers needed for the AVID students and train them on the basics.
Role of each of the courses/subjects involved in this project:
CTE - A+/Cisco Academy will teach students about computer builds and customer service.
AVID-10 students will research the importance of technology needs for college and careers.
In addition to the CTE/STEM focus of the unit/project lessons, educators will find academic lessons in COMPUTER SCIENCE and COLLEGE/CAREER RESEARCH that supplement the primary core area of study.
