Description
This project will lead students through the process of learning how to get that job as a video game designer!

Lesson 1: Students will begin the "Journey of Discovery" to locate a video game design company to begin their careers. Using Internet resources, teacher materials, and outside professionals, students will learn what various jobs are required to create, test, market and provide customer service. Students will research global career opportunities, education requirements and needed technology skills to successfully land a career in the video game design industry.

Lesson 2: Students will next locate a game design company to begin their careers. Using Internet resources, teacher materials, and outside professionals, students will learn what the origins, current and predict the future of the Game Design Industry to effectively communicate their knowledge in order to land a career in the Game Design Industry.

Lesson 3: Students will explore the education, training and certifications needed to land their dream job in the Video Game Industry. Using Internet resources, teacher materials, and outside professionals, students will learn the pathways to joining the Game Design Industry.

Lesson 4: Students will conclude the Journey of Discovery to understand resume writing, interview skills, letters of recommendation and 'soft-skills' needed to land their dream job in the Video Game Industry. Using Internet resources, teacher materials, and outside professionals, students will learn how to shine in the interview to get their beginning job in the Game Design Industry.
